The Bozz Chronicles

The Bozz Chronicles was set in 19th Century London. The series was produced under Marvel's Epic imprint in December of 1985 and only ran for 6 issues. Created by Dave Michelinie and with cover art and interiors by Bret Blevins. The stories mixed a Sherlock Holmes derived investigative team with a semi-proto-steampunk slate of enemies. The characters included an alien with unusual powers, the feisty pneumatic ex-prostitute who secretly loves him, and a raucous American cowboy known for his infamously bad chili. They regularly ran into villainous mad scientists with incredible inventions and supernatural foes with demonic powers. As with a few other Epic titles, it was unusual at the time for its depiction of brief nudity and implied sexual contexts. Collected in The Bozz Chronicles .
