Savage Tales

Black & white anthology magazine. Where Marvel's Epic Illustrated had a science fiction and fantasy bent, Savage Tales featured "two-fisted" adventure stories, with predominantly war-time and western settings. While the series only lasted eight issues, it did introduce Larry Hama and Michael Golden's T he 'Nam . While the content usually distanced itself from explicit sexual themes, the magazine's two scantily-clad "mascots" did appear on nearly every cover. Issue's #1-4 have been translated into Spanish.
